I've struggled to get on with Maxima Chameleon over the years, but persevered because it is so good at losing it's memory ( much like myself ) when you stretch it.
You might like Gardner Hyroflo....it sinks a little quicker than the Maxima in back to back tests ( in my water butt ), is a little thinner and has more stretch. I use it for waggler fishing and centrepin work, so it's pretty adaptable.
It was only available in green, but there is a clear version now too.

Tried everything and lost too many fish. Thirty five years now. Always come back to Maxima. Hooked a cow once at Breamore and it stripped me to the backing before the Maxima leader snapped. Or was that just a dream?
If you don't like its thickness just buy a lesser BS, it will still stop a small truck!

Daiwa Hyper Sensor.... low diameter, but not clear... a greenish tinge to it, that said it casts like a rocket on fixed spool reel and is nice and light/fine for pins....
so far it has withstood the rigours of continual casting at local club match feeder work and makes decent pole rigs due to its low diameter... can't fault it...

Just one more cast love, and I'll be on me way home

Drennan supplex seems to have a lot of stretch but it only seems to come in 100m spools, also small spools for hooklengths are available to complement it. I use it on shallow spools. For when I may need more line Ultima power plus with Ultima power silk for hooklengths.
