How much and why?

Post by Michael »

Bit of a shock when I saw these and the price being asked, I cannot understand why so much, if that's the going rate, a few chaps on here who make floats, should be millionaires soon, due to the superb quality of their floats, unlike these........

The seller has had dozens of listings finish over the last couple of weeks. Only one of them got a bid all of the rest went unsold. Most of the prices seem quite high for the quality supplied

Have a quick look at the sold items - only 2 sold as "expensive" in recent months!!

Nice, I hope next time he makes some floats he remembers to wear his glasses!

Northern Eel you said it so much better than me the great float makers of which I have mentioned a few, I would include George Holland in there, are not interested in bling more about functionality.

I do not sell on ebay anymore and cant remember the last time i listed or sold on ebay , but .....
their are a few regular chaps who privately ask me for a commission at times , however when I do take one on I do like to cover my materials ect and have some over to pay for a few pints so to speak., i do not see myself becoming wealthy on what i have charged for my floats and i have always added a freebie or two.
what this chaps charging for his skills ????? is certainly an eye opener
