Identification of old spinners

Post by Reedling »

Whilst having a bit of a sort out earlier I came across a couple of little spinners that I would like identified if someone can help. The first has a silver looking blade which is impressed, W.Grayson, Maker, 1, XX. The second has a brass coloured blade and is impressed with a bell. Any help would be appreciated. I would post pictures but camera/computer relations is playing up a bit. :Hat:

Anything like these? (Sometimes the blade swings on a wire bar - hence 'bar spoon'). This one is by the London maker Giles Little, but the 'XX' device was used by several makers including Allcock (2nd below) and W J Cummins (3rd) to denote heavy quality spoons. They're usually quite old, possibly even Victorian.

There is a French maker who has a Bell trade mark, but the name escapes me. I'll try to find it :read:
