Like a kid with a new toy

Post by Paul F »

I was really excited to receive my new purchase from the postman Friday, and I have hardly left it alone.

It is a Hardy's "The J.T.E General Anglers Box" in near mint condition and complete with original floats, winders & tackles, the items were wrapped with the original wax paper packaging which I removed for the photo's, this was designed for Hardy's by Mr JT Emery how was a respected match angler

The 1st photo is the advert from my 1935 Hardy's Super Bottom fishing tackle catalogue, these were discontinued by the 1939 catalogue.

The leger tackle on winders with various tackle items, shot, caps, weights, plummet etc

All the misc tackle, original hardy ledger bars, spare carriers, spare rubbers for the carriers, shot, quill caps etc

Splendid, Sir ... every Gentleman should have one ... probably why I haven't !!!

Well done.

I really like that and I can see some smashing floats within. Very nice!
