What good are these floats, and new ones at that, in a glass case, with a little brass plaque...? Sorry, I just don't get it.

Lovely float,awfull framing, I can though understand people creating such displays.

If somebody wants to make a collector's piece out of some of Paul's floats does it really matter?

This isn't the place to start posting criticisms of other anglers on just your third post I'd hazard.......this is a place where we indulge each other's foibles, delight in hand-crafted tackle and understand the passions it can build up.

Or it could be that I have a similar set of Paul's floats and have never dared fish with them lest they decorate the trees on the GUC like all the lures I left there years ago.....

Sorry Paul...I will dunk one one day I promise. Probably in Northolt Baths where there are no snags and no pesky fish to pull the poor things under.

I'm afraid to admit that I've some in a frame that will never see water. Presents from family, inscriptions from memorable fishing trips etc. Even given special permission from SWMBO to hang them in the lounge!

Each to their own I say.

If you are going to criticise that display TS, you would want to slash your wrists if you ventured into our house. We are all different, and have our own quirky little ways, the world would be a poorer place if we were all the same, wouldn't it?
