Perch bobber

Post by Slumption »

I've got a couple of nice perch bobbers, handmade by Ian Lewis. What's the best shotting pattern? just some bulk a foot or so from the hook? The river I'll use them on has barely any flow.

Bulk about a foot from the hook works for me for all perch bobbers regardless of who made them! They all fish pretty much the same!

Yep I tried bulk one foot from the hook last time, are you fishing it dead depth?

I fish a bobber like that in anything from 2 to 6' of water. And have very bold bites. Normally have the bait, usually a big lob, from a few inches to a foot off the bottom. On float tackle perch normally take worms aggressively so no finesse required!
