BCSG

Post by Gary Bills »

I noticed, a few months ago, that there was a BCSG mag from the Seventies up for sale on ebay. I didn't bid, - because I am skint! - but I did notice that one of the articles carried the title, "Fishing BB's Woodwater," - and so I conclude that this mysterious lake, so alluringly described in Confessions, actually exists somewhere on the Shropshire/Worcestershire border...
Any ideas?

We need Nigel 'Fennel' Hudson here:
See Feb 2010 Journal at http://fennelspriory.com/writtenjournal2010.htm

Sadly the actual journal doesn't appear to be viewable.

Wow, that is interesting! I wonder if that's Woodwater on the cover? I expect it is. Well spotted, Snape!
Has anyone bought the mag and read the article?

I did Tweet Fennel the URL for this Forum, not sure he ventures out into the world wide web very much though.

'Confessions of a Carp Fisher' has a lovely chaper all about this pool.

Yes but sadly it is no longer fishable and has few fish in it as it has a large heronry on it...

I have read most of them now. Thoroughly absorbing and definitely recommended from me.
