Two photographs never been published before

Post by Mark »

During last few weeks I have had some email correspondence with May Lang (previously May Berth-Jones) and today she has kindly sent me the following two photographs which have never been published before. This is something of a rarity gentleman and like me I'm sure you will find them of interest.

Gerry took this picture Dick Walker and May trout fishing at Grafham Reservoir

Great pictures. That would have been an enormous tench at the time. I love all the background details, canvas brolly and tartan flask

Great images. An 8lb tench is a fine fish in my book, even today.

Lovely to see the photos Mark, thank you for sharing them with us. It certainly reminds me of my childhood in the late 60'sand early 70's .

I still use a canvas (cotton actually) brolly and a tartan flask...

Alas, I wish that I could still use my Efgeeco cotton brolly with its two piece wooden pole and unique height/tilt contraption. Sadly it passed away in a storm many years ago but not before I took a snap of it.

Walker had a hell of a crush on May Berth-Jones, but I will say no more.
