Ghostly harpist River Teifi

Post by Aaron »

The pool in question is called Pen pool (Pwll Pen) and is said to be haunted by the ghost of a harp player who drowned in the pool. Apparently, a harp can be heard wafting through the mists after the witching hour........ http://www.francisfrith.com/llandysul/l ... 60_l392025
I have been fishing this stretch of the Teifi for about 20 years, usually, well in to the small hours, and no, I've never seen or heard a thing (except the welcome splosh of a sea trout). :Scared:

I live on the banks of the Teifi not far from Llandysul. I'll have to keep an ear out. :holmes: :Scared:

A nice story - if you're going to be haunted by music when fishing, harp music is a nice soothing option... :Hat:

What's a mythical Greek harridan doing on a Welsh sea trout river anyway?

It would have to be a Greek Harp as the English ones are huge and it would need a couple of ghosts to carry one around...
