Chance is always powerful. Let your hook be always cast; in the pool where you least expect it, there will be a fish

Dear Mart h,
Sounds brilliant...just my sort of local!
What more can you ask for: Waxed Women, Banjo's, Beer/Cider and mad locals. I suspect I would fit in only too well!
Now if you had good cakes and roach as well.......?
Can I come for tea?
The problem for you, if you do have good roach, tea and cakes, would be getting rid of me!
Mole Power!!! :sun:

Re: Barbour - fake or not?
I am going to treat myself to a Barbour jacket at the Midland Game Fair this weekend.
Does anyone have a recommended jacket style for fishing.

Mark....I have two Barbour's. The Northumberland and the Beaufort. It really depends on when you are most likely to use it I think. The Northumberland is a bigger jacket with plenty of length in it to enable sitting on damp grass and the advantage of HUGE pockets to put loads of stuff in...I use this one in the winter mainly. The Beaufort is a shorter jacket and more ideal for summer use. I've had them both a while so I'm not even sure they still do them but maybe you could consider a pre worn one from EBay and then you could have both for the price of one brand new one?Mark wrote:

I'm sure others will offer their own advice.....enjoy the fair!

Def. Northumberland - big enough to hide in during a downpour and no need for a bag with those pockets. Love mine to bits - favourite item of clothing bar none (that I own...)
