Post by Robbi »

Afternoon Gentlemen,

I'm looking for some traditional style ties, wool, tweed, square cut, all considered, where do you get yours ?

do you have any links ?

all pointers gratefully received.

Burtons now have a superb range of ties including the type you ask after.. and they are those lovely skinny ones rather than those horrid fat knotted wide, kipper type ties.. YUK. Have a look at their website I am sure you will find something to please. :Hat: Reedling.

PS... Personally I find all my old fashioned/vintage skinny type ties around the bootfairs and charity shops for coppers, but not everybody wants to do that .

John Norris of Penrith will probably suit you sir :Chuckle:

Failing that, you'll find plenty of the Bay of e at all prices...that's where I usually go for my shooting ties.

When in England and now over here, get mine from Blarney Woolen Mills in Ireland, have a good range of tweed and similar ties.

I have a tie I purchased from the Bb society, it is green with the Cowslip motiff. Not yet worn it angling, waiting for a special occasion.

John Norris are excellent for tradition country stuff.
Vintage stuff on ebay is a good place to find them as well.
