My brother-in-law has worked at Sam Smith's for the last 20 years or so, but he hardly drinks! Best beer from gods own country!

I cannot remember the river they source their watew from, is it the Derwent?

Oh no no nothe midlands have it when it comes to beer
Marstons old empire IPA is what should be drunk followed by adnams broadside
Although George wright does some very good beer as does anarchy of Morpeth

But that IPA takes some beating so burton on Trent for me still holds the title for best beer

Black pudding needs to be cooked with eggs bacon and hash browns ( I know an American invention) and served with Lancashire tea, toast and a bottle of hp sauce

Did us good Yorkshire folk do that in the War of the Roses?? Or was it good old Henry IIIV in the Reformation??

United glass, is that UGB of bottle making fame? UGB and CTG were at Queenborough on Sheppey in Kent as well. Things were very tight for us, I remember when we were kids ere down sowff, to keep warm in the winter, we used to sit round me ole pot n pan whilst he sucked a Polo mint.
