Tweed Run

Post by Stathamender »

I looked at this http://www.tweedrun.com/ because I thought it might be about events on a Northern River but it's not. Some people here might be interested however. I'm more of a Tonik Two Tone person myself.

What is your favourite word?
I suspect it could be “love”, despite its drawbacks in the rhyming department.

It's what Fennel took part in last year, there are pictures on here somewhere and a thread about it.

God never did make a more calm, quiet, innocent recreation than angling.

Far better than the unsuitable and unsightly lycra one sees so much of these days.

See also The Pashley Picnic in Shakespeare's home town, and the Brompton World Championships, location varies for similar two-wheeled buffoonery outside of the capital (although The Brompton returns to London this year I believe)

The Chap Olympiad can be fun also - if you see Viv the Spiv, tell him I said "Hullo" and that his watches are almost ready.
A well tended garden is a sign of an un-committed angler

The Gudgeon Curmudgeon - Small Fish Specialist - I’d rather bleak than blank!
