Quite a lot of special offers on Hunter Balmoral at the moment. I just got a pair without the full length zip but just the side adjustable top in Dark olive with the 3mm neoprene lining. Very cosy, you don't need thick socks with them. They look very smart as well.

I had a pair of Le Chameau, similar vintage to yours, unfortunately they split and had to be replaced. I was horrified at the replacement cost so went looking for alternatives and settled on Aigle. Very comfy, durable, good sole and grip, would not hesitate to buy them again.

Aigle Parcours for me. Outstanding in my opinion (and they look traditional)

I have a pair of neoprene lined Hunters. They are very warm and the sole has a good grip.I don't really like the buckles on the sides as when fly fishing I tend to get the fly line caught in the buckle, thus I wear waterproof leggings which prevents this.
