Waterproof over trousers

Post by Mark »

I am looking to purchase a decent pair of plain green waterproof over trousers.

Any recommendations chaps.

Army surplus Gore-Tex DPM are what I use Mark.
I walked across an empty land
I knew the pathway like the back of my hand
I felt the earth beneath my feet
Sat by the river and it made me complete.

I have used the Paramo system of clothing for the last year or so . I cannot fault it . It is expensive however but is washable and easily re -proofed . I cannot recommend their products highly enough .

I've got a pair of Drennan series 7 over trousers mark, utterly waterproof and fleece lined, very comfortable. For light showers a pair of craghopper kiwis may suit ( millets stock them) they are actually walking trousers so are again very comfortable with many pockets, whilst not waterproof they are shower proof and dry out in minutes :Hat:

I bought some over-trousers from Sealand last year in Hay while fishing the Wye. I sat in the rain for over 2 hours and only my bottom half was dry. Until it started running down inside my shirt. Highly recommended but expensive.

Flexothane green overtrousers, standard shepherd wear, about £20 and lets face it shepherds get covered in all kinds of goo.

I'm going, I'm going, where the water tastes like wine, gonna jump in the river and stay drunk all the time.

My first ports of call would be Go-Outdoors, or Decathlon.... both stock lightweight waterproofs and for a reasonable price too :Hat:
