I asked a similar question in a thread about restoring my Hardy game bag. A quick Google search also brought up a few ideas involving weak lemon juice or white vinegar solution to clean the bag after hoovering out dirt and anymould spores. I've yet to get round to it

I have a Brady, a Hardy and a Andrew Fielding one. Mine just get thrown in the washing machine periodically.
I use them instead of conventional brief cases for files and laptop etc as well as general out and about bags and angling too. They fade a little, but I can live with that.
