They should be the same as a youtube video.

No tie for me.I usually wear a country style shirt though.Scarves have always been a favourite when winter fishing.I have started with my neck warming attire already this year.

My old grandad wore his from nov till easter when he was outside. He would be out gardening in the worst weather without his coat but he always had his hat and scarf on. :) .

Only a couple of seconds really, I suppose it depends on your machine and internet download speed.

Must admit I do like to wear a silk cravat when the weather turns a little cooler, they're fubctional ,look good on the bank and in the pub afterwards.....and do appear to impress the ladies! Ha!

I always find ties handy for wiping my glasses but apart from that I don't think I would bother when fishing. If I did, it would be securely tucked into my jumper rather than left dangling.

It's exactly in jumper weather that a tie is useful - they actually do help to keep your throat and chest a bit warmer. A streaming cold or rasping cough can make a big dent in one's winter fishing.

There's also the collateral benefit that one might be perceived as a tiny bit more civilised than one feels... not I, however; my winter beard and high-necked jumper conspire to hide any neck-wear.
What is not needed is a shirt with a stiff, over-tight collar.

Gentlemen, all this talk of ties and cravats...you are in danger of looking as anacronistic as the chap in these videos here:

...which is probably not a good thing.

Goodness Gracious! A portal to the world of Chap-Hop... do you think it might be some sort of trap?
Where did you find him, Haydn, and for what were you googling???

A splendid chap what-ho!
I'm with vole in wondering how you stumbled across this fellow?

Does make you wonder sometimes, where people find things on the net from, an all.

I'll end your pondering for you, though, uneventful as it is. As I turned 18 in 1990 I was a youth of the Acid house generation and a long term collector of all types of dance music. The turntables were sold, after much agonising,a few years back and the records are slowly being disposed of. I still have an interest though and occasionally look in on a few relevent sites. Someone posted up the "AcidTed" clip and I've waited for the ideal oportunity to share it ever since. He is most definitly an odd-ball.
