A fish I have never been for. This report of yours Graham has stirred something in me to read more about Grayling in order to have a fighting chance. I hope to soon have some account of my effort.

As far as I am aware Brandlings are still Brandlings. Cannot be mistaken for any other type of worm. The chap in your Angling Shop was right off beam.Super Grayling which anyone woukld be proud to catch.

Well done Graham.

Brilliant post Graham and beautiful fish. I've never seen a grayling in the flesh. Really lovely markings. I understand that they have a lovely scent to them, is it cucumber?

Nice one G! I like that little bag but the ladies are the star if this show...

Bit depressing as I'm realising that another winter has passed without me getting off my backside and going after the Eden Valley grayling. That said it's actually quite hard to get grayling fishing round here unless you're a member of Penrith Anglers (which I'm not)...

Thanks for sharing this, quality report sir....

Indeed it does G, caught my first one there under the A66! It's just fining down after the floods and looks very inviting, nice runs for Czech nymphing...

Fantastic mate! You have got to make a bit of time for a spot of winter grayling!
