A brilliant engineer, angler and free thinker.

What would he make of us lot, I wonder. I'll bet he would upset the apple cart on many a post. :Hahaha:

Don't we all? It was the highlight of my week.

What is your favourite word?
I suspect it could be “love”, despite its drawbacks in the rhyming department.

Thanks very much for the write-up and photographs, Skeff. For me (also an avid reader of his column) and many others, it's most reassuring to know that the spirit of traditional angling and Mr. Walker's many contributions are being preserved and celebrated in ways like this, by fellow enthusiasts. The cake (home-made, I presume) is a very nice touch.

Keep up the good work, gentlemen!

G. B.
