I managed to get hold of a Walker made net recently - as I unpacked it I wondered if it could be the very one that Clarissa breasted to change the face of angling!

If you could put a picture up I could soon tell you. The 'record net' was given to Gerry Berth-Jones and the one Dick used to land the '31' [34lb] was given to me when I took Des Taylor over to meet Dick. There are photos of both nets together on this forum somewhere when I sent them to Stu or Mark when the site first opened. The spreader block is the give away. The original was made of paxoline whilst the one I had was made from [very] early nylon which Dick worked on.

As regards the 'red light float' competition I think I came 2nd or 3rd as I was presented with a book which I may still have somewhere. The book wasn't much good but I was very pleased as it was then the first thing I ever won. Still waiting for my next win......the EuroMillions.....seems I may well be waiting a long time.
