I have been reading Rod Hutchinson's Carp Along The Way books of late and in one of them he recalls a sighting of either the king or queen (can't recall which). If ever there was proof of giants in Redmire back then ( and CY has always aired on the side of fanciful) I reckon I'd take RH's comments as gospel.

I think it was Mike Winter, Nigel. Fairly sure they corresponded with each other quite a bit whilst Mike was writing his book.
