Sowerbutts Sprite

Post by Ljm183 »

My latest restoration is this 12ft Sprite, in need of a re-whip and varnish and the ferrules re-glued but the cane was in very good condition as was the handle and all the fittings.
The Maker,s transfer,s are complete with no damage.

Came complete with ferrule stopper,s and it,s original maker,s bag.

84 Inters in total.
Finished and ready to fish.

The Sprite had it,s first outing today after it,s refurb, and it,s a lovely rod.

First fish a carp of about 4lb

Handled it with ease.

After loads of Roach to 1lb and bream to 2lb

Another carp followed this one a low to mid double.

Again the rod Handled it with ease.

Just acquired another Sprite.

A slightly different handle in shape and length and this latest rod is in the more usual Twist whipping.

Here,s the two together
