Im trying to put a date on the one i have, does anyone know when Sowerbutts stopped using the Shoreditch address and changed it to E.1. ?

Well Sowerbutts moved to 151 Commercial Street in 1877. As to changing the address to E1 on the engraving......the Mole knowledge hits the buffers

Perhaps the great Michael Nadell will have the answer and so will attempt to contact him

Hi Mosley , don't know if this helps you but from my recollection the dates below might answer your question .
1827 - 1863 the family were at 12 Duke Street Spitalfields
1863 - 1875 at 3 Blossomm Terrace
1875 - 1877 at 38 Commercial Street
1877 - 1980 at 151 Commercial Street
