Re: The Carp
I acquired a very beat up MkIV Carp 550 which Chapmans kindly restored for me and if you are struggling to find a reel band to complete the rod I am sure an enquiry to Chapmans would be received well. They did a cracking job on my 550 and it has been and continues to be a joy to use.Ljm183 wrote:Stripped ready to go back together.Hovis wrote:Yep I really wanted it but just missed the end of the auction. Never mind I am sure they will be another one along in the future and you will give it a good home.
Let us know how refurbishment goes.

Re: The Carp
A visit to Chapmans one day this week i think, to see if they have the black reel bands and i.l take the carp rod for them to have a look at, they are always interested in seeing their old rod,s back at the factory.PershoreHarrier wrote:

a good fishingfriend and used it a couple of times since them.Love it but hadnot seen for

Lee,
How do you whip so quickly? And can I ask what grade thread you use?
