Happy Easter!

By way of an update, I spent a part of the Easter Bank Holiday weekend attending to the corroded ferrule joints of my Chapmans 500 de-luxe 'tip find'. I am pleased to say that with nothing more than a little TLC and some soapy water they are back to normal (compare to my first post):

The rod sections fit lovely together with a wonderfully satisfying pop when pulling them apart.

The assembled rod feels great and think it'll be balanced lovely by one of my 'pins.

I've yet to Christen the rod, but will be sure to post when I do.

Kind regards,

Mark

Great news. Now you can enjoy fishing with it.

The corrosion looked terminal to me, I thought new ferrules for certain but it just goes to show how wrong you can be, well done on a great save and what a bargain.
