One must be careful using Allcock's Guides as provenance, but the three piece Superb seems to have been made for only one year and is considered highly collectable by some.
In truth it was probably superceded by better rods quite quickly, but to the collector it's the rarity that grabs his attention.
I've seen two others in all this time....and one was a 'ringer'.

This information is from a "new for this year" supplement inside a 1959 Allcocks Catalogue. It shows the Superb as a carp rod and as Olly says, the green whippings are correct. Only 6 rings in total but I think I would be tempted to give it a couple more.
