Nicely done Paul, may you have many years of enjoyment using the rod.
BTW, did you use a CP on the thread or straight varnish?

No varnish straight on, I would only use preserver on jasper silks.
The piper silks take the varnish very well

Keith, It is a very light action float rod, so I will give it a run out on my local river Tone roach, although I cannot guarantee catching a chub or two, I will just take care, it matches up well with my 3 1/2"Hardy Wallis Avon reel

Hello Paul , I am hoping that you could post some pictures of this rod again as the originals no longer display . I am also curious as to the use of these ' special upright rings' ,were they intended to guide the line whilst least disturbing the action of the rod , or as an economy measure or.... .I find it hard to believe that economy measures would be considered on such a prestigious rod . Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you Rob.
