Which green?

Post by Hovis »

I have got my hands on a MKIV that need some works so I’m going to do a full refurb on it. Does anybody know what shade green silk the originals were whipped in? I normally get my silk from pipers so if you know the correct shade can you please let me know.

Anybody?

Had a look on Pipers and can't see that they do a shade of green in both the 90/2 and 4/20 so the whippings and inters match.

Can you post the reply on this thread from Ted Oliver if/when you get one because I have two Rods that I wish to do as well and need the correct Greens in various thicknesses. Many thanks.

Is it a Grass green (GRASS FS166 on pipers charts)

As spoken about at the bottom of this thread? Second post up from bottom of the page.
