B James & Son 'Heron'

Post by AshbyCut »

Trying to hold together the TFF Cane and Pin Match has taken up most of my time for the past few weeks ... but not all of it !!!

Winging it's way to me is a B. James and Son, onion handled 'Heron,' ... a beautifully restored 3 piece, 11ft. 2in., all split cane 'bottom' rod in it's original bag ... simply crying out to be taken to the bank (and I don't mean Nat West !!!) ... and NO ... this isn't a prize in the raffle !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(Please amend the leading post in this thread to show it's dimensions.)

Very nice Mal. I bet you're relieved that it doesn't need a re whip! that's a lot of inters.
What fishing will it suit? Chub, barbel, roach?
I walked across an empty land
I knew the pathway like the back of my hand
I felt the earth beneath my feet
Sat by the river and it made me complete.

Absolutely splendid AC - do you know how similar or dis-similar it is to a James Avon Perfection?

I have no idea until it arrives, Sir. I've only heard of one twice before ... and never seen or held one ... YET !!! :Chuckle:
