I don't understand why some people seem to bid such ridiculous prices on Ebay , when they could clearly see by looking at secondhand tackle dealers websites or auction sites such as Mullocks, that the prices they are paying on Ebay are absurd.

Me neither Julian, but as someone who has sold some things on EBay and the same has happened it makes me smile when the PayPal payment comes in :D
I guess the seller of this rod will be similarly chuffed. Expect a few more to appear now because everyone will be thinking " blimey....I didn't realise I'd get THAT MUCH for one of those"....like the Efgeeco Packaseat prices 6 months ago....

My own view is that it sold for double what I'd normally expect of such a rod, and that's on a good day. My initial reaction was: you could buy a decent rod for that much money.

I agree with Dave and expect we'll see more of these appear on ebay.

Chance is always powerful. Let your hook be always cast; in the pool where you least expect it, there will be a fish
