I took the Floatcaster out today for its maiden voyage and this little blighter was the first fish I caught on it, a few smaller chub followed.

What a fin-perfect little sergeant ! Well done, Sir.

Yes Paul does a great job, what can be done by a first class restorer/craftsman.

Great photos,
I have one that I use, after looking at the photos my one needs some TLC!

The close season is an important and interesting time for the Angler who set out to catch big fish. It is a timely opportunity for him to make new tackle or renovate old. There are no end of jobs to do, apart from those horrible things called Gardens!

I'm about to restore mine and have already bought the blue threads to do it. You've got me thinking now Mark, I no longer know if I want mine blue or not?

Yours is lovely, well done Paul Cook on a top job. :Hat:

Wally'sCast rebuilt mine in the Sealey blue and it looks superb... admittedly the garnet looks superb also, but you'd not be disappointed with the blue either :Hat:

if yours has the porcelain tip and butt rings take care, they are very fragile :Hat:

Hi Harry, do you still have pics of your Floatcaster? I'd love to see pics having just acquired one for restoration. The a/m images don't seem to be available any more?

I'll have a look and see if the old pics are still about, if not I'll do some new ones
