"The Dorset"

I have mentioned in other threads I also have another F.T Williams rod called "The Dorset" which I would describe as a heavy float/ledger rod, at just over 11 feet long it is a really good alrounder and I have used it to catch everything from crucians to carp and my first ever chub this year.

A great rod which I highly recommend if you can find one. :hat:

This is the rod the late John Brough, master carper of the 1960/1970s, used in his formative days while fishing at the Woking & District Angling Society ‘Sandersons’ Lake. He amassed a huge total of double figure carp almost all of the falling to floating crust while using this rod.

I also use it for Carp it's a great rod and I have a feeling it could handle a lot heavier carp than I have caught on it.
