FTW Carp Rod

Post by ChrispDuck »

New member on here and just thought I'd see if anyone has come across the FTW carp rod before. I have one that is a super blank and in totally original condition and in use on an almost weekly basis.
It has red and black whipping an exceptionally long cork handle, lined butt and tip rings. I've had carp up to 27lbs on it and it handles very well.
I've never managed to find another despite looking for years and suspect not too many were made, but would love to hear any other members thoughts.

Nice! Are the red reel bands original too?

Don't know if you'd call it a carp rod but I have a FTW 'Foravon' obviously an avon rod and 'my' rod of choice for carp and sometimes spinning....

Yes the reel bands/butt cap and winding check are all original and red

The Foravon is a lighter test curve rod than the Forcarp

I had one of these, it was a nice rod but I found the handle ridiculously long and ended

Dare I ask what the taper is on that rod, which is obviously their version of a MKIV carp?
