A wide reel arbour

Post by Stathamender »

As promised I have researched this and got a quote. As before it will be a two piece ABS plastic arbour that fits around the line lays. As Macman had several different measurements given to him for the width of the reel he opted for the largest so it may need light sanding in some cases before fitting snugly.

If 15 people want one then the cost will be £5.50 each, including p&p 1st Class UK, elsewhere in Europe £7.50. If demand is lower or higher prices may differ slightly but not much.

Please let me know by PM by next Tuesday 4th September if you are interested.

PS I've heard from someone else on the forum that he has a similar spec file for an arbour (four piece this time) for the 'Billy Lane' 4.5" Match Aerial. Expressions of interest also needed.

Iain,
be careful with the postage costs, anything over 25mm thick will have to go by small parcel post and can be expensive. I don't know what the items cost but I think it's £3.45 for 1st class.

Thanks for this. The arbour is 26mm so it will be small parcel @ £3.45 so 1st Class will be £8.30 and £7.80 2nd Class. If you order two or more the cost of each additional arbour will be £4.70 so if you can pool orders 2=£13 (i.e. £6.50 each), 3=£17.70 (£5.90 each) etc.

I've only had a couple of people come in for this, which means it's not viable. I'll extend this to next Tuesday 11th but if I don't have at least a half dozen more interested then it can't be done. If there is anyone who is going to be selling at venues over the next months who wants to take some on a sale or return I'm willing to do that otherwise this will have to wait for another time.

No idea how I missed this, but I'd like one.
I'd also be very interested in a Match Aerial arbour (not to mention Avon Royal Supreme and Shakespeare Eagle, if anyone's feeling inventive).
I cannot understand why you haven't been mobbed by Aerial users trying to find such things - don't they ever fish slow rivers?

I don't mind ordering 3 to get the minimum number up!

They can always be sold on to wide drum Speedia owners in the future.

I’ll bump my order up to 3 if it helps?

Two on the reels and a 3rd as spare.( gives me an excuse to buy another reel)

Thanks for this. I'll check on Tuesday what, given the level of interest shown, are likely to be the costs given the number of people who have registered an interest by then.
