Identifying a mil wards rod

Hello gentle men my father had a mil wards split cane rod I remember when young catching trout on the river nidd at patley bridge and trout at Ffestiniog power station it had the armoured arm and was split cane bottom middle and top the whippings were a light green flecked colour high bells stand off rings it had a lovely through action similar to my avocets (it was the memory of this rod and how it felt that started me down the cane road again ) i think it would have been a birthday present to him around 1956 so that is the approximately the date I would dearly like to find out what it was alas it was sold when not being used by him would have liked to have said I have it now any help gratefuly revived thanks in advance Mike I have just remembered it had a trumpet shaped handle it was always used with a white and black delmatic reel thanks Mike
