Redmire ghost??!

Post by Mr S/U »

There are many tales and myths of strange happenings occurring at Redmire Pool over the decades.....could this be photographic proof of the apparition that haunts the hallowed water?!

My brother was lucky enough to land a 20lb common carp (from my intended I swim I might add, but drawing straws left me less fortunate!) and so I was demoted to chief photographer! - I photographed 9 shots of the lucky buggar in quick succession,..no more than a second apart, and on exactly the 5th shot there appears to be a shape in the mist on his right shoulder, absent on ALL other photographs!

Here are photographs 4,5 and 6 for comparison!...

P.s. It is well worth note that the MKIV (Barder) returned to its home place to land this specimen,..well done Ben! :Hat:

Breath from the photographer :tea:

Cracking fish though
Chance is always powerful. Let your hook be always cast; in the pool where you least expect it, there will be a fish

The spookiest thing is the expression in the first photo

Yes - looks like breath - because there is also some by the carp's head in that photo.

Water vapour.... (breath most likely)
Lovely fish and yes shame about the tail. Sign of the times.... :(

Not sure - I picked up some weird mist effects at Redmire, which got me thinking..
Lovely fish, though...

Early signs of a manifestation. :tea:
Not a fish was visible that first time I visited Beechmere; an utter
stillness brooded over the place and I felt the strange and sinister atmosphere which, so the story goes,
has been the cause of several suicides.’
