redmire virgin

Post by Ade76 »

Good evening gents :Hat:
im fishing redmire for the first time tomorrow and just thought I would ask if any of you have any pointers as to which baits-pegs produce bites this time of year?
the experience alone will be enough but if I can manage to land a carp would be amazing.
regards

Not fished a winter session yet but I believe there are some winter holding spots under trees by Cranstons and at the other side of the dam by Walkers, I'm sure Les will tip you off, good luck !!

Don't rule out the shallows either ......
Chance is always powerful. Let your hook be always cast; in the pool where you least expect it, there will be a fish

Well I have just spent a few days looking at houses - one of which was only twenty minutes from Redmire !

I am envious Ade. I hope you had a great time there - fish or no fish. A decent sleeping bag required at present I think but a fantastic memory I hope for you.

I have noticed a lot of posts regarding Redmire, it seems to be some sort of fishing Nirvana? What is so intriguing about it, and where is it.......I apologise for my ignorance of such a hallowed venue if, indeed that's what it is.......From the posts I've read it looks to be a carp fishery.

Are You trying to wind us up Jeremy? You must know this is where Dick Walker caught Clarrissa and Chris Yates caught another record breaking carp!!
