I knew Swordsy had had some big Trent chub, some by design and some by accident whilst barbel fishing. Given the amount of time Lee spends on the Trent it rather puts the chances of a 7 plunder into perspective.

I can't wait to hit the Trent come September. I've not done a great deal of float fishing for Chub (my favourite species) as my local Witham isn't very deep. I have caught Chub from the Trent whilst Barbel fishing but am looking forward to the new challenge. My PB Chub is only 3lb 4oz so I think i'm in with a good chance of success this year! Will be all the more satisfying to achieve it with a length of glass and a Mitchell too!
