welcome aboard John :Hat:
Not a fish was visible that first time I visited Beechmere; an utter
stillness brooded over the place and I felt the strange and sinister atmosphere which, so the story goes,
has been the cause of several suicides.’

Thanks to everyone for their welcome, I am really enjoying the site.
I just wished that I had joined it earlier.
A question for you all...is this the correct thread?
I have 2 fingers missing off my right hand due to an argument (I lost) with a Spindle mouldier many years ago, and Arthur Ritis in my remaining fingers.
I am looking for a light 10ft rod cane or glass as I have some difficulty holding the rod for any length of time. Old habits die hard therefore I much prefer to hold the rod than use a rest.
Any ideas on a suitable rod?
Before it is mentioned no, I cannot change hands.

John

Greetings and welcome! Wanted to add that I totally empathise with the "How big are the carp" question. I also hate the perpetual search for the biggest whatever. While it is nice to catch a specimen fish, overall it's just nicer catching fish!
