Hello to everyone on the TFF 0/
I'm Charlie and I've been fishing since my childhood in one form or another.
I don't really consider myself an ardent collector of vintage tackle, I just happen to like and use older tackle along with the more traditional methods of fishing.
Over the years what I laughingly call my 'collection' as grown more due to the fact that I never part with much as my wife is always at pains to point out.
That old adage 'it will come in useful even if I never use it' springs to mind!
I still make a lot of my own tackle, traces, rigs, floats, gadgets, etc. but I no longer make rods, only repair and occasionally refurbish them, but there's still a few projects I have in the back of my mind.
A new punt rod and maybe a tench one too, so who knows?
My cane rods (6 in total, 5 coarse, 1 fly) are of the lesser known (not famous/liked so much?) variety I'm afraid but I'm happy with them and they've served me well over many years.
I also have a few ancient hollow glass rods, which I still use.
Well, that's it,
I look forward to chatting with you all.

Hello EB, pour a large single malt, pull up a pew by the fire and enjoy the banter....
