Black prince was my first reel to tell the truth it went through every thing a young person could throw at it and more never stopped working mike

Welcome to the forum, Mike. I take it you also started with a Black Prince? I graduated from a garden bean pole with a line and float tied to the end of it to a 6-foot solid glass spinning rod and an Intrepid Black Prince at about age 10, as my first reel. It brings back a lot of memories of bicycle trips to nearby spots, rods tied to crossbars, etc. This forum is a wonderful mix of restoration skills, reminiscences, nostalgia, history, shared expertise, and good cheer.
