Hi from Middlesbrough...
Just like to take the opportunity to say hello. I 'signed on' today and I am looking forward to discussing the pastime we are all so passionate about.
I have been fishing for over 50 years, mostly coarse and game but I also dabble with shore fishing in the winter (madness!). I guess you could say that if I had a favourite fish it would be the grayling (on float or flee). I prefer to fish wild rivers and have to be dragged literally kicking and screaming to overstocked puddles when one of my heathen mates is desperate for some fish. Fly fishing is my game until June 16th then it's coarse fishing. I love trotting with 'pins and a home-made float but I will leger bread/cheese/worms when the mood takes me.

Welcome to the TFF, Bargee!
"... 'pins and a home-made float ..." sounds great. Might we see some pictures?
