Some of the pits are a bit carpy, but Club Pit, Middle Pit and Hall's might be more suited to your requirements.
There's also a stretch of the Waveney on the ticket.

Re-visiting my birth place Framlingham some years ago, I discovered Needham Market just down the road and its Mere sat beside the river Gipping. Had a pleasant few hours watching an old gentleman swing tipping for roach and tench. There is also a tackle come cycle shop in the village. Classic!
