Oldtackle, if it wasn't for Duebel I would never have figured that out for myself, so thank you Duebel. And yes, I'm a very happy man. I don't have a lot of spare cash to buy any new (or old) fishing gear apart from bait and any end tackle. So, couldn't justify or convince the wife to spend £100 + on an old rod, so I've just been making do with the rods I have.
Now I have kids, my time on the bank is limited and probably only a handful of sessions a year but will now be so much more special with this rod in my armoury. I'm sure my mother and sister in laws will be happy knowing the rod is going to be used and no longer gathering dust in a garage, and it would also be something nice to pass down to my kids when I finally hang up my nets.
