New member, living by the sad Ouse at Hemngiford Grey

Post by Classic Angling » Tue Oct 10, 2017 9:38 pm

I'm Keith Elliott, editor of Classic Angling magazine, which some of you might read. Think I've probably written more words about fishing than anyone else alive: over 9 million, at least. Local paper columns, books, articles and 23 years weekly on The Independen and Classic Angling since 1999. I collect char dishes, old wood reels with unusual backs, Mitchell 300s, especially the lookalikes, and books by the thousand (need 'em for research, of course). I'll fish where there's water: sea, game, lake or river, and I try to do one unusual trip a year. Last year, it was Guyana for arapaima; this year, Costa Rica for tarpon; next year, peacock bass in Brazil and big perch in Holland. Someone asked how many rods I had. I've no idea: too many, but not enough.

Welcome Keith, really looking forward to sharing your knowledge.
I walked across an empty land
I knew the pathway like the back of my hand
I felt the earth beneath my feet
Sat by the river and it made me complete.

Why is the Ouse sad at Hemngiford Grey?
There are three things that improve with age: wine, friendship and water sense, and there's no short cut.

Just put down Classic Angling Sept/Oct to have a spin on the Forum and up you pop! Welcome to TFF, recognise my forum name? Just twenty years ago almost to the day (week at least), sitting at Heathrow and no-one wanting to be the first to leave...
