I have gratefully received permission to join this forum and look forward to anything related to this old noble art. My cane fly fishing rod is in need of some repair so hopefully I will be able to restore the rod eventually. This particular fly fishing rod dates back to before 1970, it will be satisfying to have this piece of history in it's usable state again.

My biggest worry is that my wife ( when I'm dead ) will try to sell my fishing tackle for what I said I paid for it.

A hearty welcome, Sir.

Pull up a pew by the fire, enjoy a favourite tipple and enjoy the banter
