Great to have you on board Steve - you will get all the answers you need on how to restore any cane rod in the world on this amazing forum. Me? I know nothing about it, but I do know a bit about red worms and compost heaps.....

Tigernuts I'm afraid the bug has well and truly bitten..... I bought a job lot of 5 cane rods to have a go at trying to restore before getting my hands on something a bit nicer and when they arrived one turned out to be an Allcocks Isis (sadly missing both tops but in fantastic condition)and another one a Priory rod these 2 lucky finds started me researching traditional tackle and I stumbled upon this brilliant forum, eager to fish with a cane rod I bought 2 more which looked ready to go, one of which is a dalesman match rod but then I needed reels so yesterday I was luckily invited around a friend of a friends house to look at some fishing gear he had acquired and walked away with 2 mitchell 324's (one boxed and hardly used) for £20, the gentleman also had a Lucky Strike but isn't sure he wants to part with it yet but who knows :Beg:

I think I may need a bigger house!! :Hahaha:
