Welcome aboard lain. I used to fish the Thames at Abingdon ,when I was stationed there with the RAF back in the late 70s.

Thanks again guys. Yes, I've been lucky with some great chub in this stretch around Benson, regularly catching 5-6lbers, and last summer had a great 20lb mirror from just below day's lock. I have an inflatable kayak, and regularly cruise from Clifton hampden down to Benson, fishing along the way. It's a tough job....
