Thanks for having me!
Thank you for having me as a new member of your select cadre!
I’m Ben, 38 years old and based in Sale, South Manchester.
I was interested to join the forum because the values and techniques chime with my own way of thinking. I assumed in the current modernist climate of the sport that my own perspective on fishing was archaic and entirely alien nowadays, but was heartily pleased to stumble across your forum and have enjoyed reading as a guest for a few weeks.
I'm not currently fishing with Cane rods, however I am now certainly an aspirant cane angler and I'd like learn more about the practicalities of "going cane” or “going Incane" as the case may be. On inspection many of the new Cane rods seem beyond my budget so I’ve started to look for a good second hand one to get the ball rolling.
Thanks all.

Welcome to the forum, plenty of good advice on all aspects of traditional tackle and if you can't find what you are looking for just ask someone will have the answer.
There are three things that improve with age: wine, friendship and water sense, and there's no short cut.

Welcome aboard Ben, plenty of quality cane rods at very reasonable prices out there. Don't be put off by new build prices, remember they include modern day hourly rates..

A hearty welcome, Sir !!!

Welcome to the TFF, Ben!
Good luck with finding your first (of many) cane rod. I'm very sure someone on here can provide you with the right rod in no time.
