Brendon Chase
Re cently on holiday in Ontario and went into rural bookshop. Found a clean copy with dust wrapper of the reprint of Brendon Chase. Added to collection and began to read with great enjoyment.

Probably just as well some of us didn't read in our childhood. I spent a lot of my time in woods and fields, a summer of self sufficiency may have been just too appealing.
Its a great book for kids of every age.
